Delicious and comforting turkey meatballs simmered in rich marinara sauce, infused with garlic and Italian herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning in a large bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Bake the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and golden.
  6. Heat the marinara sauce in a pan over medium heat.
  7. Combine the baked meatballs with the marinara sauce and let them simmer for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the meatballs hot, optionally with pasta or in a sub sandwich.

Notes

Leftover meatballs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in sauce before serving.
