A simple and delightful dish featuring ripe tomatoes stuffed with a creamy tuna mixture, perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or dill for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and scoop out the insides.
  3. Combine the drained tuna with mayonnaise, celery, onion, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each tomato with the tuna mixture.
  5. Arrange the stuffed tomatoes in a baking dish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until heated through and golden on top.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill before serving.

Notes

Choose ripe tomatoes for the best flavor. Can add mustard or lemon juice for extra zing.
