A rich and creamy cake soaked in three types of milk, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Fresh fruit for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder until well combined.
  3. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  6. Whisk together the evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream until smooth.
  7. Poke holes in the cooled cake with a fork, ensuring the cake absorbs the milk mixture.
  8. Pour the milk mixture over the cake and allow it to soak in.
  9. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh fruit before serving.

Notes

Ensure your butter is softened but not melted for the best results. Don’t skip the chilling time, as it’s crucial for flavor and texture.
