Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Optional: green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
  2. Add the cubed chicken to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, ensuring not to crowd them.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through.
  6. Mix cornstarch with a little water and brush it on the skewers during the last few minutes of grilling.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes before grilling to prevent them from burning. Feel free to add vegetables to the skewers for variety.
