Instructions
- Clean and prepare the apples by washing and drying thoroughly. Insert sticks into the top of each apple.
- Create the sweet candy syrup by combining sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan. Heat over medium until boiling, swirling occasionally.
- Perfect the candy stage by reducing the heat and adding vanilla extract. Continue cooking until it reaches 300°F (149°C).
- Add your desired food coloring quickly after removing from heat, swirling gently.
- Dip each apple into the syrup until fully coated.
- Place the coated apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Decorate with sprinkles if desired, before the coating fully sets.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
