A comforting and flavorful slow cooker pulled pork dish that’s perfect for gatherings and weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 45 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
  5. Remove the pork from the slow cooker, shred it with two forks, and mix it with the juices in the slow cooker before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
