A comforting slow cooker Mississippi pot roast infused with tangy ranch and savory au jus flavors, perfect for cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3-4 lbs) chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker, making sure it’s settled nicely at the bottom.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast to create a flavorful base for your dish.
  3. Add the pepperoncini peppers on top of the roast and place the unsalted butter evenly on top.
  4. Season the roast with salt and pepper, keeping in mind that the gravy mix is already quite seasoned.
  5. Cover the slow cooker with its lid, set it to low, and let it cook for about 480 minutes, or until the meat is effortlessly tender.
  6. Shred the meat directly in the cooker after cooking and serve it with the luscious juices right on top.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Ensure the slow cooker is properly sealed to maintain moisture and heat.
