A delightful dish featuring plump shrimp in a buttery, garlicky sauce served over linguine or spaghetti.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the linguine or spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics: In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Add Wine and Lemon: Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together. Stir in the fresh parsley.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for best flavor. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture.
