A classic French dish featuring a creamy filling of eggs, cream, Swiss cheese, and crumbled bacon in a buttery crust.

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish, gently pressing it into the corners.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
  4. Stir in the shredded Swiss cheese and crumbled bacon, folding them carefully into the egg mixture.
  5. Pour the rich egg mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
  7. Let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing it into wedges.
