  • 34 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Burger buns
  • Coleslaw (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Combine salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin in a mixing bowl.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  4. Place the seasoned pork in a roasting pan topped with chopped onion and minced garlic.
  5. Bake for about 4-6 hours until tender.
  6. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest.
  7. Using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Mix the shredded pork with barbecue sauce until evenly coated.
  9. Serve on burger buns, optionally topped with coleslaw.
