A vibrant and flavorful poke bowl celebrating the freshness of sushi-grade fish and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 pound sushi-grade fish (like tuna or salmon), cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup radish, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • seaweed salad (optional)
  • pickled ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine the rinsed rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Let the cooked rice cool to room temperature.
  4. In a bowl, combine the cubed sushi-grade fish, soy sauce, and sesame oil, and allow to marinate for about 10 minutes.
  5. To assemble, place a scoop of sushi rice in a bowl and top with marinated fish, avocado, cucumber, radish, and green onions.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve with optional sides of seaweed salad and pickled ginger.

Notes

Choose sushi-grade fish for best results. Let rice cool before adding hot ingredients to maintain texture.
