A nostalgic peach cobbler recipe with tender peaches and a buttery, cake-like batter.

  • 4 cups sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 cup sugar (divided)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar in a bowl and toss to coat. Pour into a greased baking dish.
  3. Whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla to the dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Pour the batter over the peaches without stirring.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
