A comforting and flavorful Mississippi Pot Roast that’s melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 5 to 10 pepperoncini peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Season the chuck roast generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
  3. Place the seasoned roast in a large roasting pan.
  4. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  5. Add the stick of butter on top of the roast.
  6. Scatter the pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  7. Cover the pan tightly with foil or a lid.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 4-5 hours until the meat is tender.
  9. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or on sandwich buns.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
