  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the large egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pie pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the pie slightly after baking.
  9. Top with marshmallows and return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Finally, add whipped cream before serving.
