There is no better way to start a lazy weekend morning than with something that feels both decadent and effortless. I still remember the first time I made these Baked Egg Boats. It was a gray, drizzly Sunday, and I had a sad, slightly stale hoagie roll sitting on the counter. Instead of tossing it, I carved out a little nest, cracked an egg inside, and prayed for a miracle. Twenty minutes later, I pulled a golden, crunchy, creamy miracle out of the oven. The bread had turned into the best edible
