Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine milk, melted butter, and sugar, allowing the mixture to cool until lukewarm.
  2. Activate the Yeast: Stir in the yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Combine with Eggs and Flour: Add eggs, salt, and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
  4. Form the Dough: Gradually incorporate the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead the Dough: Knead on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Let It Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  7. Roll Out the Dough: Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  8. Shape the Rolls: Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into 12 rolls.
  9. Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake to Golden Perfection: Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Create the Icing: Mix the powdered sugar with vanilla and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes
