A vibrant hibachi experience with succulent steak and plump shrimp, marinated and cooked to perfection alongside colorful vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz flank steak
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (zucchini, onion, bell peppers, carrots)
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill: Preheat a hibachi grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Create the marinade: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Marinate the protein: Marinate the steak and shrimp in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Prepare the grill for cooking: Add vegetable oil to the grill or skillet.
  5. Cook the steak: Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness.
  6. Sauté the shrimp and vegetables: Add the marinated shrimp and mixed vegetables and sauté until shrimp turn pink and vegetables are tender.
  7. Slice and serve: Slice the steak against the grain and serve with shrimp, vegetables, and rice.

Notes

Serve with dipping sauces like spicy mayo or ginger dressing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
