A quick and easy dish that replicates the taste of traditional egg rolls without the fuss of rolling. Perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork or turkey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cups coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the ground pork or turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the coleslaw mix and sliced green onions, sautéing until the cabbage is tender.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce and rice vinegar, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Tastes great with steamed rice or quinoa. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
