Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Fettuccine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, and cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Season the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning until well-coated.
  3. Sauté the Shrimp: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Sauté until tender and aromatic.
  5. Create the Cream Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and simmer until it thickens.
  6. Combine Pasta and Shrimp: Add the fettuccine and shrimp back into the skillet, mix in the Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve and Garnish: Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Be careful not to overcook the shrimp; they should be pink and tender.
