Deliciously warm and chewy chocolate chip cookies enriched with the nutty flavor of brown butter.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to set the perfect stage for baking.
  2. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, around 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined to avoid overmixing.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  10. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to set.
