Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 6 cups iceberg lettuce (chopped)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • ½ cup pickles (sliced)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ½ red onion (thinly sliced)
  • ½ cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Sauté the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning it with kosher salt and black pepper until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Chop the iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces and add cherry tomatoes, sliced pickles, and red onion to a large bowl.
  3. Combine the cooked beef with the salad ingredients and toss them gently.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and sesame seeds over the salad.
  5. Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the salad right before serving.

Notes

Add spices to the beef for extra flavor and consider using pre-cooked beef and pre-washed salad greens for quicker prep.
