A simple yet delightful classic banana pudding that brings comfort and nostalgia with every creamy spoonful.

  • 2 cups vanilla wafer cookies
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 (5 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whisk the pudding mix and milk in a medium bowl until smooth. Let it sit for a few minutes to thicken.
  2. Layer half of the vanilla wafer cookies in a large serving dish across the bottom.
  3. Add half of the sliced bananas over the vanilla wafer cookies.
  4. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the bananas, smoothing it out.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Spread the whipped topping over the final layer.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use ripe bananas. You can fold in crushed pineapple into the whipped topping for extra flavor.
