A comforting dish of juicy chicken breasts topped with honey mustard, crispy bacon, mushrooms, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey mustard
  • 6 strips of bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken breasts.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the chicken on both sides.
  4. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish.
  5. Cook the bacon in the skillet until crispy.
  6. Sauté the mushrooms in the bacon drippings until soft.
  7. Drizzle honey mustard over the layered chicken, bacon, and mushrooms, then add cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

Serve with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, salad, or roasted vegetables. Can use rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
